About

Since the inaugural Brick Works Forum was opened by Prince Charles in 2009, this yearly gathering at Evergreen Brick Works has attracted leading thinkers and innovators from Canada and around the world.
The Forum’s closed-door sessions, featuring high-level brainstorming, cross-discipline information sharing and actionable policy recommendations, are the first essential step in fostering a sustainable economy.
The ideas generated and experiences shared in these candid conversations have been captured in thought-provoking summaries and submitted, as requested, to Canada’s Federal Minister of Finance.
The 2011 Brick Works Forum on Leadership, Innovation and Sustainability was presented with support from the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation.

About Evergreen
Evergreen is a not-for-profit organization that makes cities more livable. By deepening the connection between people and nature, and empowering Canadians to take a hands-on approach to their urban environments, Evergreen is improving the health of our cities—now and for the future.
About Evergreen Brick Works
Our most innovative project to date, Evergreen Brick Works is both a stage and incubator for Evergreen’s programs. Located within the Don River flood plain and in the heart of Toronto’s ravine system, Evergreen has restored the historic Don Valley Brick Works from a network of unused buildings into a thriving community environmental centre that motivates and equips visitors to live, work and play more sustainably.
